Ingér – Your go to work out when you don’t want to

Whenever you don’t feel like working out, I advise you to make the most of it. Choose a workout you will have fun with and try to stop thinking. This is my go to work out!

Before we begin, let’s choose in or outside. Are you going to the gym or do you want to go to the park or your back yard? I, once again, want to give some advice. Go somewhere where you less retained and where it’s easiest to work out for you. For me that’s the gym.

Go with someone who pushes you. This mood needs to be dealt with, so push yourself or let someone do that for you.

Now that, that’s done. Let’s go!

The warm up, take your time for this and get your mind straight. I think the first 30 minutes are the hardest when you’re in this mood. After your workout, choose your favourite exercise, preferable one that’s easy. For me that’s air squats. No weight that’s holding me down, just me and my legs.

Here’s what the rest of my ‘moody workout’ looks like.

  1. 5x 10 air squats
  2. Super set 5 x 10:
  • Leg extension
  • Hamstring curl
  1. Super set 5 x 10
  • 10 jump squats
  • Walking lunges *(around 10 steps)
  1. 4 x 10-12 Abductor (while leaning forward)
  2. 4x 10 – 10 leg press (10 wide, 10 small)
  3. Circuit 4 rounds of 4 x 30 seconds
  • Kettlebell swing
  • Step ups
  • Jump squats
  • Burpees

After this, you can choose your own ending: some steady cardio, some ab movements or just go home straight away.

This workout is my way of getting it all out of my head. Proving myself, I can do this and I want to this. And I promise you will feel better afterwards!
